drupal: gallery overview with views attach gallery

Hi folks,

I've been asked to describe how to get an overview page of all galleries when using galleries with views attach. In the video from Jeff Eaton, you see an overview of all the galleries on the frontpage, but that is generated on the fly by drupal.

The problem is, there seems to be an issue with views attach. It doesn't attach its content, when the node is displayed as a field, so generating a view and displaying your galleries as fields with the field "Node: Teaser" doesn't work. The workaround is quite simple, just choose as row style node, and afterwards teaser. The drawback of course, it is less flexible than the fields approach, but it should do.

You can see an example of this on this website, my galleries are the blog entries, and the blog overview you get by clicking the top link to the blog is generated like the gallery overview I described above. Since I use it a bit different it looks not like in the video, I attach the four last images and I have another layout... That's because my teaser view for my gallery/blog is different from the video and the CSS is different, the gallery overview view works for both.
