Please make sure, you have all listed packages installed, and follow the instructions closely. Up to now, all such problems could be solved like this Wink

Now succes installing dlRaw

Hi Mike,

I've tried to install dlRaw but it will not compile.

Compiling ../Sources/dlImageMagickC.cpp will give some errors like:

../Sources/dlImageMagickC.cpp: In function ‘void dlIMRotateC(dlImage*, double)’:
../Sources/dlImageMagickC.cpp:62: error: invalid conversion from ‘long unsigned int*’ to ‘size_t*’ ../Sources/dlImageMagickC.cpp:62: error: initializing argument 2 of ‘PixelWand** PixelGetNextIteratorRow(PixelIterator*, size_t*)’
../Sources/dlImageMagickC.cpp:84: error: invalid conversion from ‘long unsigned int*’ to ‘size_t*’
../Sources/dlImageMagickC.cpp:84: error: initializing argument 2 of ‘PixelWand** PixelGetNextIteratorRow(PixelIterator*, size_t*)’

and the compiler aborts. I think, the needed packages are installed. What can be wrong?

Michael

Hi Michael, it doesn't sound

Hi Michael,
it doesn't sound like a missing package. I haven't encountered such a problem up to now. My first guess would be that your compiling system is "different".
What operation system are you using, what compiler and which version? 32bit or 64bit? Which ImageMagick?

Hi mike, my systems runs on

Hi mike,

my systems runs on sidux 32-bit.

The compiler is gcc-4.3 ver 4.3.5 and g++-4.3. ImageMagick is Version is 6.6.2.6-1

Michael

Hi Michael, sorry I don't

Hi Michael,
sorry I don't know the reason for your problems. Since Sidux is also Debian based like Ubuntu, the build systems should be compatible, and I don't get these problems... I checked the versions on my Ubuntu Lucid, and the ImageMagick is older (6.5.7.Cool, so maybe they changed something in there, but actually the compile error doesn't really sound like this. So, I'm very sorry, but I cannot help you at the moment. However, I would be very happy to hear about it, when you manage to compile it.

dlRaw Successfully installed on Ubuntu 10.04 (Lucid Lynx)

Success!

Thanks for the very quick post/ reminder to read the list dependencies necessary to install dlRaw. I have now successfully installed dlRaw on Ubuntu 10.04 (lucid Lynx).

One question I do have is "Lenfun" is failing to pick up my lens and is not giving me a list options to choose from? Any thoughts?

Thanks again

Chris

Lensfun

Hi Chris,
lensfun in this preview is not very complete Wink I don't know how far that implementation works, but if you want to try, you should make sure, that data for your camera / lens is in the delivered database (not only in the system database, that is not yet used...)
If I ever manage to get a final version done, it will be in there, otherwise I guess you have to get along without it, at least in dlRaw.
