Gimp to Photivo export and new binaries

Hi folks,

finally a long planned feature is available, Gimp to Photivo export. Now one can use Photivo as a 16-bit filter stage inside Gimp. A short explanation is here.

Furthermore we have new Windows binaries, as always kindly provided by Brother John.

Thanks for this REALLY amazing software,,,, it works nice on my Ubuntu (tar.bz2 and your instructions are useful )... But I have problems with compiling DEB package ... has anyone solved this problem yet? May be possible to have among binaries not only the tar bz2 but the DEB package?

It should be ready for

It should be ready for creating a deb, but I didn't test. What problems did you have? The best would be you open an issue for this at our tracker and we try to solve it together.

Today... or tomorrow... we'll compile (and open for download) the special (second) version of Ubuntu distro (supports only Russian and English languages, with PAE and kernel 2.6.37+patch). This distro (Ubunto Go 11.01) will compiled and optimized not only for "typical" users and their needs, but also, for photographers.

Distro will include special installer Ubuntu Go! APPs, which will starts after the installation of Ubuntu OS and gives the ability to SELECTIVELY install the following software:
.... list ...
<.........>
.............
Image-editing software:
DarkTable 0.7.1
digiKam 1.4.0
UFRaw 0.16
GIMP 2.6.10

I tried "quickly" compile the Photivo's Deb for this distro but .... Sad ... may be my mistakes in compiling or...
