Happy Valentine's

Hi folks,

I just want to spread my joy with a newly bought Pentax M 50 1.4 Laughing out loud The first pictures show one of the roses for my girlfriend Wink I also added one photo before editing process, to show what is left from nature...

I hope you enjoy them, greets mike

Christmas time...

Hi folks,

are you also enjoying the "most wonderful time of the year"? Usually a quite busy time... So there were many things to do, and I had only little time for programming. Actually, I cannot report about any new filters, just a few bug fixes and small changes for the gui. Most time consuming was the windows build, so it is working on windows again, with a new compiler, multithreading and still one code source. So enjoy your holidays, and I'll try to have new filter for next year Wink

Sad views in Berlin

Hi folks,

here is a small picture update. These are some shots I took recently in Berlin. The new texture enhancer and the new crossprocessing simulation were used. Hope you like the effects and the photos.

Photos: power plant Rummelsburg

Hi folks,

some new pictures from a recent visit of the power plant Rummelsburg. There was a guided tour with light installation, so we visited this witness of Berlin history.

I used my K100D with Sigma 20 1.8 and Lensbaby. Postprocessing in dlRaw, which by the way got faster the last days, multithreading works already on many filters Wink

Enjoy, mike

More vacation photos...

Hi folks,

here are some more photos of our short trip to the Baltic Sea. These are all from the Olympus E-P1, and completely processed with dlRaw-preview.

Have fun, mike

Vacation photos

Hi folks,

we had a small vacation at the Baltic Sea, of course with lots of photos... But even with dlRaw processing needs some time, so here are the first three impressions from the first evening in Warnemünde...

dlRaw: color infrared photo

 Hi folks,

so again a small update... I've put together some more information about dlRaw and I've prepared some screenshots showing my color infrared workflow using dlRaw-preview. You can see the final result attached to this post.

Some news...

Hi folks,

I spent some time to real life, so there was a little pause here... Since I like the idea of sharing thoughts and pictures, I have decided to get a real webpage. This is of course not for free, it costs some money and even more expensive it needs some time to work on it. It was a hard decision to get a good but not too expensive hoster and it was a problem to find a fitting domain, which is still free... One of the next steps will be, to find the "right" cms for my page, although I have already a favourite, drupal. More on this will follow soon. Here is a small photo taken this evening in Berlin, where I was on a small tour with two of my friends.

Park Babelsberg, infrared

A few weeks ago, we were very lucky with the weather in Potsdam (the date in the exif is wrong Wink). I had my Pentax K100D at a walk in Park Babelsberg. It's one of the few cameras which allows infrared photography without modification and without a tripod. Because the sensor is quite sensitive to infrared light and the very nice Pentax shake reduction system, it's enough to use a infrared filter on your lens. I used a Hoya R72 here.

Both were shot with the reasonable fast DA 35 2.8 Limited and processed in dlRaw.

Berlin nights

Berlin is only a short trip away, so every now and then I take the opportunity to snap some photos there... The bus is shot with a Sigma 20mm 1.8, which replaced a Sigma 24mm 1.8, which was used for the other shot. Both are quite huge lenses for their focal length, but the results are worth it. Since there were no local corrections needed, both are processed completely in dlRaw.
